Pink Martini Kansas City Concert reviews
Venue not great...nor was Interpol
Pink Martini, I must say, I do really like. One of the main reasons I had the shabby time I had is that I don't LOVE Pink Martini. Pink Martini had no stage presence and were VERY boring to watch, aside from the venue resembling a highschool gymnasium. They sound just like they do on their albums live; Monotonous, I will say. You have to love them to appreciate them live because otherwise, all their songs sound the same, and watching them on stage is about as interesting as watching paint dry. The venue is dry, speaking of dry. It wasn't worth the $5.00/watered-down beer aside from waiting in an enormous line (Really? Only one bartender on?!) All and all, the tickets were WAY too expensive for the horrible sound, bad beer, and a less than mediocre performance by Pink Martini.
